                 ------Small Radius Grinding

 

Cases of grinding small radius by Agathon:

As is known to all, cermet inserts are widely used in the field of finish milling and turning with excellent performance. When use the Agathon machine to grind the small radius of cermet inserts, its precision, smoothness and the perfect degree of arc tangency still superior to others up to now.

Take VB inserts for example, Agathon peripheral grinding machine can achieve perfect grinding of R0.05 small radius. Actual grinding size is R0.048 (Magnified 200 times), which shows that the small radius is perfectly tangent. The "Chipping" is 5um.

The Agathon grinding laboratory in Switzerland takes the following limit grinding test on grinding of small radius of cermet inserts:

Agathon peripheral grinder has done an incredible job of grinding the R0.02 small radius perfectly. Actual grinding size is R0.048 (Magnified 200 times), which shows that the small radius is perfectly tangent. There is no obvious chipping!
