Causes and solutions of machine misfire

Cause of machine fire:  

1. There are defects in the design of the machine tool, such as short circuit, flame retardant accessories not used and so on.  

2. The machine is not equipped with alarm system, fire fighting system and fire fighting facilities. 

3. the workpiece is flammable material, low ignition point.  

4. use oil cold, and did not add flame retardant.  

5. The environment around the machine tool is not cleaned up, and there are inflammable and explosive items.  

6. The workers did not operate the machine in accordance with the safety production instructions and were negligent.  

Solution of machine fire:  

1. improve the design of machine tools, strictly control the quality of machine tools accessories.  Try to use flame retardant materials.  

2. the machine is equipped with fire alarm system, add automatic stop, emergency stop, and automatic fire extinguishing program.  Additional fire protection facilities.  

3. in the processing of flammable and explosive workpiece, we should pay attention to the processing temperature and make emergency plans.  

4. try to use flame retardant coolant.  

5. keep the machine clean and tidy around, do not pile up sundries.  

6. Strict safety training for workers and regular fire drills.  

Grinding machine at work, generally need to add coolant, water cooling and oil cooling.  Some oil-based coolants can ignite when exposed to high temperatures or open flames.  Coolant containing flame retardants should be used as much as possible and applied at sufficient pressure as required.  

When the workpiece is flammable material, such as magnesium aluminum alloy, due to its very low ignition point, in processing must pay attention to cooling and the use of coolant.  In the event of a magnesium and aluminum fire, do not use water to extinguish the fire, because magnesium reacts with water to form hydrogen, which only makes the fire worse.  Therefore, in the processing of special workpiece, we must pay attention to its chemical characteristics, targeted fire suppression. 

Peripheral grinding CNC grinding machine work, generally is 24 hours non-stop work.  Be sure to arrange for full-time shifts.  Workers' fire awareness and measures should also be trained in place.  Meet fire situation should not panic, calm and calm scientific response is the most important.  In addition, when selecting coolant for peripheral grinding, its chemical characteristics should also be paid attention to.  When operating temperature is likely to exceed its ignition point, be sure to replace coolant with a higher ignition point.
